If someone tells you they got an 18V Bosch Lithium-ion cordless drill, there’s a good chance it’s a GSB18V-LI. This is Bosch’s core combi drill model with 2 speed operation, compact Li-ion batteries, forward and reverse operation and the . smallest grip in its class. And, as with all Bosch Li-ion drills, it’s compatible with the entire Lithium-ion range, so if you’re a Bosch fan, you’ll be able to mix and match with other battery tools.
The GSB18V-LI Bosch is a nimble little machine with the shortest head length (195mm), long run time and exceptionally fast speed. The innovative 4-pole motor gives you intense power for drilling and it’s a great driver too with 18+1 clutch settings, and a max torque (hard) of 67Nm. It also has variable speed trigger, handy LED light and 13mm chuck. The only real downside is 1.3Ah rated batteries – best to get 2 of these. That said, it’s a safe choice for a high quality cordless drill.

Drilling power
No problems here. This Bosch drill takes care of most materials with ease. It will allow you to pop 13mm screwholes into masonry, 13mm into steel and 35mm into wood. The finer technical details are as follows: masonry: No-load speed 1st gear: 0-500 per minute; No-load speed 2nd gear: 0-1,700 per minute; Impact rate: 0-25,500 per minute.
Batteries
This drill comes with a range of Lithium-ion battery options, from single 1.3Ah packs to multiple 3.0Ah units (see the various pricing options below). As we said above, getting just one 1.3Ah battery may not be sufficient for many people – albeit it’s a highly efficient one. Drill weight and size
Hold it in your hands and it feels a little like a drill driver. Very compact at 195mm and weighing 1.9kg so it’s light enough to use for lengthy periods.
Torque
This is where the GSB18V-LI excels. 18+1 settings means a big range for tackling all kinds of screws in different materials. The max torque levels at 67Nm (hard driving) and 28 Nm (soft) give you all the options you need. Once you ‘ve got used to this kind of responsive driver you’ll find it difficult to use anything else.
