Drilling power

This 12 volt drill allows you to drill 28mm screwholes into timber (probably the main use for this type of drill) and 13mm holes into masonry and steel. The No load speed is 0-400 / 0-1450rpm and it operates at a healthy 0-6800/ 025000bpm

Batteries

As with the 14.4V Dewalt this 12 volt version comes with two 2.0Ah rated Ni-CAD batteries (the upper end of the scale). This is definitely a good value package for the £100 mark.

Combi drill weight

As you’d expect for a Ni-CAD battery drill, it’s not the lightest 12 volter out there. But at 2.1kg it’s not going to break your wrist either. The rubberised grip makes it comfortable to hold, and as you’d expect from a DeWalt it’s a nicely balanced machine.

Torque
At 35Nm for hard driving, and with 17 adjustable torque positions, this is a very versatile drill/driver.
