Erbauer ERD184COM 14.4V Cordless Combi Drill Ni-CAD
So, the 14v Erbauer combi drill…is it any good? Well the spec for a 14v combi drill is certainly very sound. It’s capable of drilling 13mm holes into concrete and delivers 30Nm of torque. It’s easy to use and solidly put together, making it good value for money.
It’s effectively Screwfix’s own brand, so it doesn’t come with the track record of a DeWalt or the precise engineering of a Milwaukee. For peace of mind you get a 2 year warranty.
Overall, it’s a good choice for a serious DIY’er or maybe as a back-up drill for a professional.

The Erbauer 14.4v Cordless Combi Drill in detail
Drilling power
The max drilling capacity is: masonry 13mm, wood 28mm, steel 13mm. So it’s clearly designed to tackle most everyday drilling tasks – particularly woodwork – decking, cabinet making etc.
Batteries
The two 1.7 Ni-CAD batteries should keep you going steadily throughout the day if you keep one pack on recharge and don’t carry out too much drilling into concrete.
Drill weight
It’s not the lightest 14v combi drill out there at 2.2kg but it does feel very robust. The length of 270mm is around average but much less compact than the best 14V Bosch combi drill at 228mm (but is much cheaper, of course).
Torque
A very respectable 30Nm of hard torque and a choice of 22 adjustable drill settings.
Other stand out features:
- Integrated spirit level
- Adjustable side handle
- Two-speed variable
- One hour charging unit
- 13mm keyless chuck
- Comfortable, soft-grip handle.
Standard package for this combi drill includes:
